This carpet is a deep, plush cream pile, the kind that feels great underfoot and shows every mark. The photo is the bedroom right after cleaning. Deep pile carpet traps a pet stain further down than a low carpet does. Scrubbing at it from the top mostly spreads it. What works is treating the stain, then flushing it out with hot water and extracting it from the base of the fibers, which is what our truck-mounted system is for. Grooming the pile before we leave lets it dry evenly and stand back up the way it should.
